As of my knowledge cutoff date of September 2021, the XFL had announced that it was suspending its operations due to the COVID-19 pandemic and had filed for bankruptcy. However, in August 2020, the league was bought out of bankruptcy by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, his business partner Dany Garcia, and RedBird Capital, with it relaunched 2023. It has been going well and it is hoping to return again next year.
