As of my knowledge cutoff date of September 2021, the XFL was not actively playing games. The 2020 XFL season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the league filed for bankruptcy in April 2020. The league was later purchased by a group including Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and RedBird Capital, and there were plans to relaunch in 2022, but those plans were put on hold. As of now, it is unclear when or if the XFL will return.
