Week 3 of the UFL season delivered gut-wrenching losses, clutch comebacks, and a clear new #1. The DC Defenders crushed the Battlehawks’ home-field mystique, the Stallions yanked victory from Arlington’s jaws, and the Roughnecks finally lit up the win column. On the flip side, Memphis and San Antonio remain winless, each blowing another chance to climb.

Here’s where every team stands entering Week 4

1. DC Defenders (3–0) 🔼 +1

Last week: 2

DC planted their flag in the Dome and proved they’re the team to beat. Jordan Ta’amu tossed three touchdowns, and the defense forced four turnovers in a 27–15 takedown of St. Louis. They’ve already beaten the Stallions and Battlehawks — it’s no contest: the Defenders are the league’s top dogs right now.

2. St. Louis Battlehawks (2–1) 🔽 –1

Last week: 1

It was a humbling day in St. Louis, but let’s not throw out the hype. Manny Wilkins had a highlight TD to Jahcour Pearson, but four turnovers doomed them. Still, they are ahead of the pack chasing DC.

3. Birmingham Stallions (2–1) ➖ 0

Last week: 3

This is why they’re champs. Matt Corral struggled for three quarters, then came alive with a 76-yard game-winning drive in the final minute to beat Arlington 10–9. Birmingham doesn’t dominate, but they always show up when it counts.

4. Arlington Renegades (2–1) ➖ 0

Last week: 4

Stingy defense? Check. Clutch offense? Not yet. Three field goals were all Arlington could muster in a loss that felt like it should’ve been a win. Until they finish drives, they’ll linger just outside the top tier.

5. Michigan Panthers (2–1) ➖ 0

Last week: 5

Backup QB Bryce Perkins continues to impress, carrying the Panthers to a 26–23 win over the Brahmas with two rushing scores and nearly 200 passing yards. The kicking game came up big too, but long-term consistency is still a question.

6. Houston Roughnecks (1–2) 🔼 +2

Last week: 8

Biggest climbers of the week. Down 17–6 at half, the Roughnecks rallied with backup Nolan Henderson going 10-for-11 and delivering a stunning 18–17 comeback win over Memphis. Don’t call it a surge just yet — but momentum is real and Henderson is the definite starter for this team.

7. Memphis Showboats (0–3) ➖ 0

Last week: 7

The Showboats had a two-score lead and the ball — and still blew it. That’s now back-to-back one-point losses in games they controlled. Coaching? Execution? Both? Either way, this team can’t finish games.

8. San Antonio Brahmas (0–3) 🔽 –2

Last week: 6

The defense, led by Jordan Williams and his Week 3 pick-six, has done its job. But until the offense finds a spark, the Brahmas belong in the basement.

🧠 Final Thoughts

  • DC is elite, plain and simple.
  • St. Louis and Birmingham can bounce back — they’ve proven it.
  • Arlington and Michigan keep grinding out wins, but each has clear flaws.
  • Houston’s arrow is pointing up, while Memphis and San Antonio are trending in the opposite direction.
