The road to the playoffs for the United Football League’s sophomore season has already given us some exciting action across network and cable television these past two weekends.

TV Ratings have been noticeably down compared to last year, unfortunately, but have been somewhat consistent around 500,000 viewers for games. This is mainly due to competition from the NFL Draft, the NHL and NBA Playoffs beginning, and the NASCAR Cup Series on Sundays, all pulling several million fans away from being interested in spring football.

The attendance has also been a major concern for UFL fans, as many teams such as the Memphis Showboats and the Houston Roughnecks have seen dips of under 5,000 attendees for their home games. This is alarming as the empty stands depict little interest from the cities which can turn off any new or casual fans while they are flipping through the channels on their TVs or devices.
